1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BillsGPT ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BillsGPT is an AI-powered bill payment platform that allows users to:

  • Purchase airtime and data bundles for Nigerian mobile networks
  • Make bank transfers to Nigerian bank accounts
  • Subscribe to cable TV services (DSTV, GOtv, StarTimes)
  • Pay electricity bills (prepaid and postpaid)
  • Interact with an AI assistant for bill payment processing
  • Maintain a digital wallet for transactions

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

4. Wallet and Transactions

  • Your BillsGPT wallet is funded through bank transfers to your assigned virtual account
  • All transactions are final once processed and confirmed
  • We reserve the right to reverse fraudulent or erroneous transactions
  • Transaction fees may apply and will be clearly displayed before confirmation
  • Your wallet balance does not earn interest
  • We are not a bank and your wallet is not a bank account

5. Transaction PIN

  • You must set a 4-digit transaction PIN before processing payments
  • Your PIN is required for every transaction as an additional security layer
  • You are solely responsible for keeping your PIN confidential
  • BillsGPT will never ask for your PIN via email, phone, or chat support

6. AI Chat Assistant

  • The AI assistant is provided to help process bill payments through natural language
  • AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally contain errors
  • Always verify transaction details before confirming payments
  • The AI assistant does not provide financial advice
  • Chat conversations may be stored for service improvement

7. Refund Policy

  • Successfully processed transactions (airtime, data, cable TV) are non-refundable
  • Failed transactions will be automatically refunded to your wallet
  • Bank transfer disputes should be reported within 24 hours
  • Refund processing may take 1-5 business days

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or fraud
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated tools to access the Service without permission
  • Create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes
  • Use the wallet for money laundering or terrorist financing

9. Limitation of Liability

BillsGPT shall not be liable for:

  • Losses due to network operator delays or failures
  • Losses resulting from unauthorized account access due to your negligence
  • Service interruptions caused by third-party providers
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount in your wallet at the time of the incident.

10. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the app settings
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms
  • Upon termination, any remaining wallet balance will be refunded to your bank account

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
